Canterbury, Kent

In April 2010 we started on a new project just outside of Canterbury, Kent, the project was to build the superstructure shell of a private 4800sq foot five bedroom house.

The entire house is built from 140mm thick jumbo plus blocks laid with thin joint mortar. The inner leaf and 1st floor was built including , support structural steelwork , IG box lintels , window formers , 50mm Kingspan insulation , 22mm Caberdek chipboard flooring, chimney flue system and basement works.

We also undertook the scaffolding, cut and pitch roof construction, roof lights and temporary guttering works .Our works took 9 weeks to complete.

The photos show our sequence of build. Now that the shell is water tight, the external face brickwork and internal fit out are being commenced by others.
