Kingston Upon Thames, Surrey

In September 2009 we started the build of two 5 bedroom houses at Kingston, Surrey, for local Kingston developer LMA Ltd. On this particular scheme we took our work from top of foundation, starting with the sub structure blockwork. At the rear of each house are conservatories that looked over the rear gardens , the steelwork to these where fabricated and erected by our sub contractor Complete Steels and was part of our contracted works.

The superstructure was built using 3.6N and 7N 100mm jumbo plus Celcon Blocks all laid thin joint using Celfix mortar, full fill cavity insulation - Rockwool cavity was used to insulate the external walls.

The 1st and 2nd floors were JJI Engineered joists supplied by Pasquills at Coventry. An amount of loose steel beams acting as lintels were installed by ourselves, along with IG cavity and internal box lintels. The roofs were of a cut and pitch arrangement carried out by our carpentry team. Both houses had flue linings and a chimney built.

Our works from top of foundation took 12 weeks to complete. The houses will be completed by the developer for private sale by spring 2010, photographs of the finished houses will follow in due course.
