Xella Silka Element System
Xella Silka Factsheet

Delivering the complete structural envelopes of nine luxury apartments over five storeys using the Silka large format blocks this project represents another milestone for MFS as they have taken total Design Responsibility for the Structural Design and have addressed all associated Class 2B Disproportionate Collapse works.

With the combination of the Silka Element system, PCC hollowcore floors, balconies and other components, together with their In House Design team, MFS are now proud to bring their own DfMA approach to market and see massive opportunity in the ‘medium to high’ rise residential sector.

Work started on site with the arrival of our 2 welfare units and storage containers from R.S.French and also our Lissmac Mini-crane.

A 14 week construction period on site, saves our client 11 weeks in time and an estimated 12.70% on overall build costs.

Client Testimonial

I am truly astounded by the progress at my latest project. Using the Silka system just a few men have built the internal and external walls complete with face brickwork for two flats in just 3 weeks. The efficiency of MFS should have 9 flats over 5 floors completed on target in 14 weeks.
