MFS were appointed to work with PDR Construction Ltd to deliver the full structural envelope for 118 apartments for Haxted Estates using the Xella Silka Element System, a very large format block manufactured and cut offsite.

We were excited to bring our management approach to a project of this scale. Using our experience and expertise in intelligent value engineering, we have developed innovative, cost effective solutions that meet the growing environmental demands of today’s housing industry and offer best value in the long term.

The client chose to adopt our alternative build methods due to a need to fast track the build. Use of the Silka Element system will provide efficiency in the project and the build process, not to mention the financial benefit of early occupation.

MFS were involved from the design and planning stage to the delivery of the complete structural envelop for these apartments. Our Design Warranty was supplied.

MFS Design Innovations

The P.C.C cantilever balconies were designed by MFS and their Design Team and installed as the floor planks were being installed. Saving time, money and the hassle of installing the balconies at a later date. This solution is a 1st within the industry.
