An industry First. The integrated PCC cantilever balconies were innovated by our i-Form design team and were installed as the floor planks were being put into place at Ampersand. Saving time and the costs for labour at a later date.
All builders work holes and trunking routes were pre-formed. On our Ampersand projects this saved in the region of £85k and an estimated 1,000 man hours in time.
The design and manufacturing process can be tailored to work with and around purely modular elements such as bathroom or kitchen ‘pods’ to get the best from offsite solutions
Thin joint mortar set and load bearing within 2 hours vs 24hrs for traditional mortar, even at sub-zero temperatures. Our mortar uses only 1/20th of the water required by ordinary mortar.
Will Curran – Finalist for Apprentice of the Year 2021
Will joined MFS in September 2020 having just finished his Level 3 National diploma in ‘Construction & the Built Environment’ with 2 Distinctions and a Merit. He is now learning the ropes in estimating and design with Tom and aims to be hands-on on-site in 2022. Through our mentoring Will is developing his skills and confidence, helping him fulfil his aspirations in construction.
“When I was at college, I knew I wanted to develop my education in construction. I found MFS on LinkedIn. Looking at their website it really interested me, I sent over my CV and was lucky enough to be selected for the apprenticeship. I feel very fortunate to have found MFS during the pandemic as many of my former colleagues at college were unable to find suitable employment. Eventually, I want to become a chartered construction manager. I don’t know what I want to do specifically yet, so I am currently having a few years studying different job roles to find which suits me best. I am currently undertaking my level 4 course in Construction Management at the moment and with support from MFS want to gradually work my way up from there.”
