What a Great Day!

The SE Construction Expo 2021 started with the team joining the Meet the Buyers panel in the show.

Then, as sponsors for the Gala Dinner reception drinks Norman ran a fun competition – in which the guests were invited to guess how long it took us to actually build a 2 bed apartment at the 2019 show. The answer was less than 6 hours, which was guessed by Simon Ryan from Locate in Kent who won a a bottle of fizz for his table! Watch the videos of the speedy construction demo >>

MFS were shortlisted or three awards on the night, Best Apprentice, Best Construction Project and Best Contractor. To win Best Contractor really is a great honour and reflects not only the quality of our construction work, but how we have met challenges with a positive approach to sustainability & staff wellbeing and our ‘zero waste to landfill’ principles. We call this MFS i-Form Solution™ a PDfMA approach to MMC.

In receipt of the award Norman Hinckes MFS Managing Director said ‘On behalf of all at MFS, it’s is an absolute delight to receive this award and is testament to all the hard work and dedication of our team over the past few years and in particular dealing with the challenges through the pandemic during the last 12 months’ Norman also paid tribute to the late, great Mr Brian Stocker who sadly passed away last year and was an inspiration to us in our business and in the development of the MFS i-Form Solution™ and sadly never got to see the launch and I would like to dedicate this award to him in his memory.’

Judge Richard Maybury added his voice to the chorus of congratulations at the Expo Dinner. “I was particularly impressed with the way MFS held on to their vision, working to make it a reality, whilst getting on with what had to be done to keep the business going.” Thank you Richard.

MFS, a ‘Meet The Buyer’ at the Expo

MFS were also invited to be one of the ‘Meet the Buyers’ at the main exhibition, where we met many fellow contractors and innovative suppliers to the industry.

We were pleased to meet up with Westridge Construction as we are about to start a new project with them at Albion St in Brighton. Read more about this new project >>
