Xella and Eisfeld Ingenieure presented the use of Hololens technology live on the construction site for the first time in Germany on 7th November 2019.
As one of the first companies in the construction industry, Xella uses this technology to support the digital planning and implementation of construction projects directly at the construction site.
The Hololens is a mixed-reality pair of glasses that allows the user to display interactive 3D projections in the real environment. The digitally planned building parts such as wall or roof elements can thus be virtually displayed and checked directly on site. After the presentation, the approximately 40 guests of the event all took the chance to try out the glasses themselves.
