Norman’s Talk – 18th November at 11.10am – ‘Tomorrow’s Construction Today’

MFS MD, Norman Hinckes is one of the speakers at this year’s virtual South East Construction Expo, sharing the main stage with Mark Beard, Chairman of Beard Construction and President of the CIOB.

Together, they will be looking to the future and how mindsets and methods in construction must adapt right now to a post-covid environment and then change permanently to deliver the right kind of developments, to the high quality & environmental standards demanded by government and the global community, over the coming decade.

The industry must recognise that we need robust short term solutions to recover from the pandemic, that are then fit for long term success whilst effectively tackling climate change.

Norman will explain his P-DfMA approach to MMC, recently trademarked as The MFS i-Form Solution®. Demonstrating how ‘platforms‘ or a suite of inter-changeable components can be designed and manufactured to size offsite, then delivered as a ‘kit of parts’ to be swiftly assembled onsite.

Then how that positively impacts on Covid-safe sites, with lower labour dependency and quicker delivery times, without compromising on quality, or green objectives and still saving 20% on overall build budget.

Listen in to see how this is achieved!

At SE Construction Expo 2019 MFS completed the Xella Silka Element Challenge

An MFS team of just three and one Lissmac mini-crane built the structural walls of a one bedroom apartment using Xella Silka large format blocks, in well under six hours. It was a major undertaking, but brilliantly demonstrated our system, speed and labour efficiencies.

Lunch and Learn about the MFS i-Form Solution® in the comfort of your own offices (or via Zoom)

We have created a presentation to be delivered in the form of a CPD event. If this is of interest to you, we would be only too pleased to organise a lunchtime or Zoom forum for yourselves and any of your interested stakeholders.

Malcolm Clarke, Managing Director, Baxall Construction “Baxall’s commitment to developing our knowledge & understanding of Modern Methods of Construction was further enhanced when Norman Hinckes (Masonry Frame Systems) presented a CPD session to our teams on their i-Form Solution™. The session was both interesting and motivational and as result we are certainly looking for some opportunities that would suit the solution.”

Roy Fairgrieve, Founder/Director, Harper McKay Developments ” A really valuable and insightful presentation. I took away a new understanding of how MFS can add value across every aspect of the construction process. It’s so much more than an alternative rapid build product that they offer, it’s a completely different approach, backed up with expert knowledge. I’d thoroughly recommend this CPD to any housing developer.”
