Multi disciplined Construction and Property Consultants Calford Seaden based in Orpington, was commissioned to research and prepare a report into the comparative costs of 5 common house build construction methods based on a typical 20 unit development of 3 bedroom houses.

The independent research concluded that the H+H Celcon Rå Build method, endorsed by MFS; delivers a cost effective masonry solution that end-users prefer, in the time it would normally take to build a framed construction.

Substantial savings

The report found that savings in excess of 8% could be made over typical SIPS and Timber Frame options with similar build speed. Measured against traditional construction, the speed of build and the subsequent savings in preliminary costs were the principle benefits.

Reduce the need for renewable technologies

Recent experience has also found that when working to Level 4 of the Code for Sustainable Homes (CfSH) and adopted as part of an integrated design solution; the savings and benefits are even greater with either the possible elimination or substantial reduction in the need for Renewable Technologies. The true cost of which can only be established over the life cycle of the building.
